INFORMATION about the clubs
Breakfast and After School clubs are open during term time only for children aged 4-12 years, the Holiday Club is open to children aged 4-12 years from the locality and operates between 5-7 weeks of the year during school holidays. The younger EYFS children have a key carer to help meet their needs and support their early learning and development. Stortford KidsOut believes the needs of all children are of the utmost importance, our entire team is committed to meeting those needs. We promote the Playwork Principles
Breakfast Club 7.30 - 9am
Breakfast is served between 8am - 8.30am.
Children arrive from 7.30am onwards and are provided with quieter activities compared to the afterschool club. Children assist the staff to prepare for breakfast, the older children will also assist in clearing breakfast before leaving the club to begin their school day. Breakfast includes a selection of healthy cereals, milk, buttered toast, jam or marmite, fresh fruit or fruit juice. Continental breakfast is often available a choice of ham, salami and cheese.
Afterschool Club 3.00 - 6.30pm
Tea is served to the children in year groups throughout the club hours until 5pm. A variety of activities are available on a daily basis to meet the needs of all children. Children have the choice of playing outdoors or indoors, they are accompanied at all times by a member of staff. Staff support and facilitate the play process; they act as advocates for play when the play has an adult led agenda. Children genuinely choose their play, they are free to develop their own interests, their own ideas in their own way.
